Stanlei Bellan has been appointed as regional development officer for MEC across Latin America.

 

Bellan will be based in Miami and tasked with developing the GroupM agency’s content strategy and new business opportunities, as well as new products and business areas in conjunction with national universities and venture capitalists.

Bellan, a trained electronic engineer with a Masters in Business, was co-founder and CEO of MoneyGuru prior to joining MEC, having also worked as managing director of eHarmony in Brazil.

MEC Latin America chief executive officer Renato de Paola, who made the announcement, said he was “delighted” that Bellan had accepted the offer.

“This is a critical new position and, together with digital and data, content will play a key role for MEC in Latin America,” he said. “Stanlei has tremendous experience with multinationals, both on the agency and client-side including the implementation of new companies and business units across markets.

“With his hands-on operational ability, and passion for business, Stanlei is a proven leader who will facilitate the transformation we need in the region in order to grow our clients’ and our own business. The management team and I are really looking forward to working with him.”

MEC Latin America’s clients include Netflix, Colgate Palmolive, AT&T Mexico, Marriott, Energizer and Toyota.
