DigitasLBi, the Publicis-owned technology agency, has promoted Himani Kapadia to the newly-created role of chief operating officer for APAC.

She has been promoted from his previous role as managing director DigitasLBi India. Mumbai-based Kapadia will report to the agency’s APAC chief executive Roy Capon.

She will be tasked with “driving greater efficiencies” across 17 offices in six markets in the region, supporting DigitasLBi’s “centres of excellence” operating model.

Capon said: “[Kapadia] has been a key driver for DigitasLBi India’s business and its sustained growth for the past few years. Her ability to attract great talent and grow a successful, award-winning profitable business in India is testament to that.”

“DigitasLBi’s uniquely diverse skill-set means that being able to create a flexible and highly mobile talent base throughout the region is vital to our clients, our continued growth and our blended business model. [Kapadia] will play a pivotal role in continuing to grow our business across Asia Pacific.”

Kapadia joined LBi India in 2007 as head of outsourced UK operations, before becoming India managing director in 2010.

She will be replaced at DigitasLBi by Amaresh Godbole, who previous held the position of head of agency and strategy, managing clients including Johnson & Johnson, Tata Motors and Budweiser.
