PHD Thailand has appointed Nuvee Pongsathidporn as its new managing director.

In his new role, Pongsathidporn will be responsible for driving PHD’s growth across all business.

Pongsathidporn has over 15 years of brand building experience working in the media industry. He joins PHD from MEC Thailand, where he was managing director.

He will take up his new role immediately and report to Sunee Paripunna, chief executive of Omnicom Media Group, Thailand, and Susana Tsui, chief executive, PHD APAC.

Paripunna said: “The media landscape in Thailand is changing rapidly, as everywhere else and traditional approaches to media are giving way to new media.

“[Pongsathidporn] has an ambition to grow PHD into one of the top five agencies in Thailand leveraging PHD’s strength in innovation and thought leadership.”

Pongsathidporn added: “Fragmentation of the media industry in Thailand, indicates that now more than ever, the emphasis on innovation, integration of media platforms and the big idea will be critical.
