Thaer Namruti rejoins SMG as SVP precision marketing strategy

Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) has recruited Thaer Namruti to the role of senior vice president, precision marketing strategy.

Namruti enjoyed a previous four-year stint at SMG as senior vice president data and analytics EMEA, before joining Acxiom as European strategy director in 2014. He has also held a range of agency and client-side roles at PHD, Avon Cosmetics and AXA.

Based in London, the newly-created post will see him drive accountable data-led investment strategies for SMG’s Global Network Clients division.

He will report to Jodie Stranger, president of Global Network Clients, with a dotted line into Steve Simpson, president of Asymmetric Intelligence.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Thaer again and his appointment is further evidence of our commitment to placing data and technology at the heart of everything we do for clients,” said Stranger, a judge of M&M Global’s Meet the Millennials initiative.

“He brings with him a proven track record and his experience will be instrumental to ensuring we continue to deliver the very best communications solutions for our clients.”
