Bruce Daisley, Twitter’s UK managing director, has been promoted to vice president of Europe.

Daisley has been responsible for driving the growth of Twitter’s UK sales support team and has helped drive growth through promoted tweets, promoted trends and accounts.

The move follows vice president of sales in Europe, Ali Jafari, decision to return to the social platform’s San Francisco office in June.

Stephen McIntyre, currently the director of online sales EMEA, will take over as vice president of online and reseller sales for Europe, while Daisley will remain as UK managing director on top of his new role as vice president.

“I’m happy to be taking over Europe with the UK in great shape. We’re just looking for the first head of consumer marketing for UK and we’ve got an exciting year ahead,” Daisley told The Drum.

Prior to Twitter, Daisley held the position of director for YouTube and Display at Google. Before Google he worked at Emap Advertising in sales and digital roles.
