Australia’s Mitchell & Partners rebrands as Dentsu Mitchell Media

Dentsu Aegis Network has rebranded Australian media agency Mitchell & Partners as Dentsu Mitchell Media.

The rebrand, which marks the debut of the ‘Dentsu Media’ name in Australia, will affect Mitchell’s four offices – in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Perth. But Dentsu said that the 100 staff employed by the Australian group will be unaffected by the change in name, and the business will continue to be headed up by chief executive Kenny Stewart and managing director Adrian Roeling.

Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific acquired Mitchell Communication Group in late 2010. The group has an increasingly large footprint in the Australian media and marketing landscape. Earlier this year it acquired a majority stake of 51% in creative agency BWM Group and subsequently renamed it BWM Dentsu.

Dentsu Media now operates in 15 markets with 24 offices across Asia, Russia, North America and now Australia.
