The acquisition aligns with Dentsu’s ambition to transform business through brand commerce and creative use of digital and tech, combining Cosin’s transformation expertise with Isobar’s business transformation experience to further expand digital capabilities across the Americas.

This addition follows the acquisition of Brazillian based mobile specialist Pontomobi in October 2015.

“Cosin’s expertise and reputation in designing and deploying business transformation solutions perfectly complements Isobar’s vision for designing rich, transactional branded spaces,” said Dentsu Aegis Network Brazil chief executive officer Abel Reiss.

“With the addition of Cosin Consulting, Dentsu Aegis Network Brazil is able to work with clients to both redesign their business model and brand development, as well as deliver the right strategy, implementation and execution to excel in today’s omni-channel world.”

Isobar global chief executive Jean Lin added that in the digital economy, as points of inspiration and points of transaction come closer together, Isobar is integrating more consulting abilities into its offering to help our clients address friction points at every consumer touchpoint.

“Cosin’s highly specialised experience in the consulting space perfectly positions the combined Isobar Brazil Group to scale this ambition in Brazil and Latin America,” she added.

São Paulo- based Cosin, which was established in 2005 by brothers Arnaldo and Alessandro Cosin who previously worked at Accenture, IBM and CapGemini, offers business consulting, IT consulting and project management for 70% of the top 25 companies in Brazil, with a specialism in retail. Post-acquisition, Alessandro Cosin will take on the role of chief executive officer of Cosin – Linked by Isobar, while Arnaldo Cosin will assume a new advisory position.

“Brand Commerce is about thinking of commerce not as a destination but as a path, and Isobar’s vision aligns seamlessly with ours and how we advise and work with our clients already,” said Alessandro Cosin.

“Having worked with some of the largest companies in Brazil, we’re excited to join such an impressive framework of competencies and scale quickly to service multinational clients around the globe.”

Last month, Dentsu Aegis acquired US performance marketing agency Merkle and B2B creative agency Gyro in July.
