Apple has launched a new video ad for Apple TV, proclaiming that “the future of television is apps”.

 

The video, which features fan favourites including Disney Pixar’s Inside Out, Game of Thrones, The Muppets and Guitar Hero, aims to demonstrate how consumers can engage in TV, movies, games “and more” via its soon-to-be-relaunched Apple TV.

The advert echoes the message of Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook in September, unveiling an Apple TV that will support third-party developer apps for the first time, marking for the first redesign of the product in three years.

This development will allow many popular iOS apps to appear on the big screen.
